There have been burglaries in Fowlmere recently.

In addition, the Environmental Health department has reported a scam that has arisen in some South Cambridgeshire villages. Bogus charity collectors for 3rd World Countries distribute green leaflets, along with a plastic sack that is left sticking out of the letterbox. If the sack is not removed, this indicates to the collectors that the house is vacant. The department advises that if you see a plastic sack sticking out of a neighbour's letterbox, please remove the sack and make the owners aware of the possible problem.
