Fowlmere School is in the process of submitting an application to Cambridge County Council to take part in the Safer Routes to School Project. The aims of the project are to:

"Create a safe healthy environment so that children and young people can travel to and from school using sustainable forms of transport such as cycling and walking, thereby increasing their independence, health and fitness"

We would like our application to be of benefit for the whole community, as the routes to school also provide routes to the Village Shop and Post Office and the recreation ground on the Butts. If you would like to support our application to provide:

• safe crossing places;
• safe footpaths; and
  
• better lighting;
